VK4RZB Voice Repeater Frequency Change

As of the 1st of February the voice repeater installation on the Queensland Rail tower on Mt Coot-Tha has been upgraded with new equipment (power supply, cavities, audio bridge, repeaters), thanks to Andrew VK4QF and Rob VK4AB.

The voice repeater now has a 7 MHz negative split to avoid the interference it was experiencing on the previous 433.2 MHz input. The new frequencies are as follows:

  • Receiver 431.200 MHz
  • Transmitter 438.200 MHz
  • CTCSS tone 91.5 Hz

All those involved with the Guzzler event will have to update their radios with this, especially if working from the field.
